No-JS Club

My webstead has never had JS outside of some blog features.

I’m happy that it has now been listed in the No-JS Club!

Typeface minimalism

Familiar typefaces can help read quicker.

That’s why I’m trying to reduce the amount of typefaces around me to just a few:

  • JetBrains Mono for code and the command line,
  • Atkinson Hyperlegible for my Latin-alphabet projects,
  • Garamond for books,
  • my handwriting,
  • San Francisco for nearly everything else.

Alas, many items around me use other typefaces.

Cracks in the matrix

  • Giving birth is painful to the woman, yet bringing life into the world is a holy deed.
  • Slaughtering animals is ethically questionable, yet meat is the most nutritious food one can eat.
  • Frightening babies and then drinking their blood is atrocious, yet adrenochrome helps undo aging.

“As above, so below” is a cosmic law, yet in these examples it is clearly broken. There is literally something wrong with the world we live in.

Fault and responsibility

Fault and responsibility are two different things.

The railway company is at fault for the train being late, but I am the only one responsible for making it to the meeting on time.

The urge to fight

We, men, have a natural urge to fight physically.

But modernity either tries to take it away from us, or subvert it to unethically send us dying in needless wars.

Practice martial arts. Resistance builds strength.

Conscription

Conscription is slavery, and therefore must be abolished.

If men won’t fight for their homeland, let them bear the aftermath.

Internship

The word internship sounds concerning. Too much like internment.
