I have flipped many views since 2019, but not those concerning death sentences. Yet I do have a couple of nuances to add.

1. It is morally acceptable to charge a criminal with a death sentence. But it can go thru only if he agrees to it.
2. Sociëty gains more by keeping madmen in jail rather than executing them — studying psychosis can help stave off new cases.

Ukraine understands that taking over Taurida and the Donbass is farfetched, so it is applying a scorched-earth policy — “if we can’t have it, you might as well have to suffer”.

Destructive for land, infrastructure, animals, and all peoples! Evil is the only beneficiary.

North Korean starvation is not a food-shortage issue, but rather a deliberate tactic to keep people docile and obedient. It’s hard to think long-term when it’s unclear when the next meal will be.
